Chasens has studied Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Dietary Therapy in China and the United States. He is Board Certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine through NCCAOM (National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists and Oriental Medicine), and his medical training includes academic and clinical instruction from Acupuncture Physicians and Master Herbalists from the U.S., China and Europe. He is a member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine and the Florida State Oriental Medical Association. He holds a B.A. from the University of Miami and an M. S. from Nova Southeastern University. He lectures at the University of Miami School of Medicine, University of Miami School of Nursing and at Nova Southeastern School of Osteopathy. He is a regular contributor to numerous health columns in various local newspapers. As a practicing Acupuncture Physician, he is dedicated to the preservation and advancement of the art, science and practice of Oriental Medicine in an ethical manner, thereby enhancing the health and well-being of the general public.
