In the East West College of Natural Medicine clinics , patients are diagnosed and treated according to the principles of traditional and modern Chinese medicine, and recognized alternative medicine. This includes an integrated view of the health and disease utilizing the best of Eastern and Western medical therapies. Included in Oriental medicine therapies are dietary counseling, various massage techniques, herbal remedies, acupuncture and moxibustion (a technique of stimulating acupuncture points with heat), electro-acupuncture, injection therapies, as well as tuina – a form of Chinese soft-tissue and skeletal mobilization. Other alternative therapies taught at EWC and offered in the clinic include homeopathy and homotoxicology. Student Clinic The EWC student clinic is a community-oriented teaching facility located on the EWC campus providing students a professional setting in which to complete their clinical requirements for the Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine. On average, more than 250 patients are treated in the EWC clinic each week. Each treatment is performed by a student intern and supervised by a highly educated and skilled acupuncture physician. EWC interns are in the last phase of a rigorous 3,000 hour program taught by experts in both traditional Oriental healing techniques and current Western medical practices. The clinic features its own comprehensive herbal dispensary, which carries an extensive selection of high quality raw Chinese herbs, powdered herbs, and patent medicines. Services at the student clinic include acupuncture and electro-acupuncture, Japanese acupuncture, homeopathy, Chinese herbal medicine and other oriental medicine modalities such as Tuina and cupping. Fees at the student clinic are $30 per treatment/session. We welcome new patients to the EWC student clinic where we provide effective, low-cost treatment for a wide variety of ailments using acupuncture and other Oriental medicine healing treatments. Student Clinic Hours Monday through Thursday – 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday – 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Professional Clinic East West College of Natural Medicine also operates a professional treatment center in addition to the student clinic. Here, licensed practitioners treat patients and students have the opportunity to observed skilled treatments of a variety of diseases. Services at the professional clinic include acupuncture and electro-acupuncture, acupuncture facial rejuvenation, acupuncture injection therapies, Chinese herbal medicine, clinical nutrition, homeopathy and homotoxicology, and N.A.E.T. allergy elimination technique Fees for services vary, depending on practitioner fees and the type of treatment received. However, as a guideline, new patient consultation for acupuncture is $85 and return visits are $65. The professional clinic is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. The East West College of Natural Medicine clinics are located within the EWC campus. The entrance to the clinics is located on the north side of the college building. There is ample parking directly in front and to the side of the clinic. Cancellation Policy Since the college clinic is usually booked two weeks in advance, if you cannot make your appointment, please give us twenty-four hours notice when possible. We'll be happy to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Payment Payment is at time of service. We accept cash, check, or credit card (American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard, and Visa). Only personal injury and worker’s compensation cases are billed to insurance.
