Established in 2002, Healing Waters Medical Day Spa is located in Durham, North Carolina, and is divided into two separate areas: the day spa and the medical spa. The day spa has a relaxation room with dim lighting and a fireplace while the medical spa has a brighter, more clinical feel. The spa has 18 treatment rooms, each furnished with plush bedding. Founded by Amanda Gorecki, an advanced registered nurse practitioner, and John Gorecki, MD, the spa focuses on medical aesthetic procedures and spa services. At the day spa, clients receive a microfiber robe and welcome footbath. At the completion of services, chimes play and clients are given a personal wellness recommendation. Day spa services include massage, body cocoons, PureMD facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, nail care, makeup (including bridal services), waxing, brow shaping, lash and brow tinting, and lash extensions. Clients can also indulge in the spa's Kneipp baths and take lavender, juniper, eucalyptus, and wildflower soaks. The med spa offers anti-aging therapies such as Botox®, Juvéderm™, FotoFacial RF™ skin rejuvenation, and ReFirme™ Skin Tightening Laser treatment, peels, laser hair removal, VelaSmooth™ and cellulite treatments. Registered nurses perform most treatments, although Dr. Gorecki administers SmartLipo™ cellulite treatments and all medical procedures. Treatments incorporate the spa's personal skin-care line developed by Amanda Gorecki. A VIP program and referral rewards are also available.
