Acupuncture - Elizabeth A. Liddell in Philadelphia

I am a registered acupuncturist, a graduate of Bucknell University (B.A.) and Southwest Acupuncture College (M.S.O.M), with NCCAOM board-certifications in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. I was born and raised in Philadelphia and did my acupuncture training in Boulder, Colorado, where I had access to a wonderful community of educators. My training is TCM-based, and I provide TCM-style herbal prescriptions while incorporating TCM, Japanese and meridian based styles into my acupuncture treatments. As an adjunct faculty member at the WON Institute in Glenside, I enjoy teaching the growing numbers of enthusiastic acupuncture students in PA. My patients and I work together to incorporate acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine into their self-care plan to treat chronic illness, heal from health crises, reduce stress and optimize their quality of life. The wisdom of this paradigm can often help patients find their center and maneuver through seasonal and life changes with greater joy. Because I treat patients with a number of health conditions, including diabetes, digestive disorders, arthritis, depression, anxiety and apnea, I refer to other health-care practitioners as necessary to ensure that my patients receive comprehensive care. One of the joys of my practice is the opportunity to work with women to enhance fertility, to promote a healthy pregnancy and to provide supportive post-partum care. I maintain a pharmacy of Chinese medicinals, and provide customized herbal formulas to my patients as necessary. I also offer "herb only" consultations.
