We have a large staff of highly trained practitioners, both from Asia and the United States, many of whom specialize in specific areas including allergies and asthma, gynecology, motor impairment, autoimmune diseases, pain management, and pediatrics. How to Make an Appointment Call our Professional Clinic reception staff for scheduling at 512.467.0370. We have appointments available Monday thru Friday 8-5, and Saturday 9-1. We allow 30 minutes for new patient paper work when scheduling, or you can download out forms at www.aoma.edu . Calling 24 to 48 hours in advance ensures ease when booking appointments. Practitioners schedules change with each term (12 weeks) due to changes in teaching schedules. Cost The AOMA Professional Clinic fee is $85 for Acupuncture Asian Bodywork is $105 a session and $45 for an Herbal Consultation, please specify desired modality when scheduling to ensure proper practitioner and time frame for visit. Chiropractic care is $150 for new patients $70 for follow up visits. For payment, we accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express, Flexible Spending Account Cards, Medical Savings Account Cards. We do not accept any forms of insurance at this time, but patients may receive a coded receipt at the time of payment to file for reimbursement with their insurance company. Time Plan on 1 hour for each acupuncture, bodywork treatment, and approximately 30 minutes for an herbal consultation. Eating approximately one hour before your Acupuncture appointment is advised. Herbs are sold separately at White Crane Herbal Medicine located on our main campus location as well as in South Austin and are available in pill, powder, and raw form. Gift Certificates Gift certificates are available for individual sale at $85 each. Get a package of 5 acupuncture treatments, for a special price of ONLY $350.00. (Offer is only good for 1 patient to see the same practitioner each time, within a 6 month period.) Cancellation Policy Cancellation notice is required 24 hours before your appointment. Patients who cancel without 24 hours notice will be assessed a $25 cancellation fee. Appointments are considered cancelled and forfeited 20 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. Student Clinics AOMA has two student intern clinics that are open to public scheduling and 3 community outreach clinics. Our main campus location located at 2700 West Anderson Lane (M-TH 9:30-8:00, Fri 9:30-3:30 Sat 9:30-12:30). Our south location is located inside of White Crane Herbal Medicine at 4701 West Gate Blvd. Bldg C (hours vary by term call for appointment times 693-4373). We now have a clinic in Round Rock inside the GoodHealth Commons at the Seton Medical Center Williamson at 301 Seton Parkway, Suite 203. Our outreach clinics offer free low cost treatments at Heritage Duval Gardens, Seton Topfer Community Clinic, and People’s Community clinic. In the student clinics, interns treat patients under the direct supervision of licensed acupuncturists. Comprehensive exams ensure that students have mastered clinical skills and are prepared to treat patients. If you are a new patient, please arrive thirty minutes early in order to fill out paperwork or download forms from our website at www.aoma.edu (there are a total of 8 pages). Plan on 1 ½ hours for each session and, if possible, eat approximately one hour prior to your appointment. We recommend finding two or three students you enjoy working with and rotating with them for your course of treatment. Students can book up quickly, so having a variety of interns familiar with your case ensures ease in booking appointments and consistent, high-quality treatments. It is our goal inform patients of any changes to requested intern, but due to students schedules, we can not guarantee specific intern. Treatments cost $30, although we do offer discount packages of 5 treatments for $120. We also offer discounts for seniors, Austin area students musicians, ask when booking for details. Although we are unable to accept insurance at this time, patients may receive a receipt at the time of payment for medical reimbursement. Those patients needing financial assistance for treatments may speak with their intern during their first visit for details regarding our discount program available for patients with reduced income or hardships. Gift certificates are available for individual sale at $30 each. Purchase a $120 gift certificate packet and receive five treatments for the price of four.
